Black Bart
The Black Bart neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe is a small, centrally located residential area tucked between the Sierra Tract neighborhood and Pioneer Trail. With fewer than 200 homes, Black Bart offers a quieter, more intimate neighborhood feel while still providing convenient access to South Lake Tahoe’s major amenities.
Black Bart Road connects Sierra Boulevard to Pioneer Trail, giving residents quick access to both Highway 50 and Pioneer Trail, two of South Lake Tahoe’s main east–west corridors. This central location allows for easy travel throughout town and places the neighborhood just minutes from Heavenly Mountain Resort, the Stateline casinos, shopping, dining, and Lake Tahoe’s beaches.
The southern edge of Black Bart borders Lake Christopher and the Trout Creek Meadow, where some homes enjoy meadow and mountain views and a more open, natural setting. These

properties tend to be among the most desirable in the neighborhood due to their outlook and proximity to open space.
On the north side of Black Bart, the neighborhood borders another meadow and the South Lake Tahoe Public Utility District facility. Some homes in this area may have partial views of the plant, which can impact property values. As with many Tahoe neighborhoods, location within the subdivision plays an important role in pricing and buyer appeal.
Many homes in Black Bart are set among mature pine trees and back to neighboring residential properties, creating a peaceful and wooded environment. Housing in the area ranges from small original cabins to newer construction and remodeled homes, offering a variety of options for primary residences, second homes, and long-term rentals.
With its central location, limited number of homes, and proximity to meadows and recreation, the Black Bart area remains a solid option for buyers looking for a quiet residential setting with easy access to everything South Lake Tahoe has to offer.
